We spent part of last Saturday in Lehi at a birthday party for "super grandma." Brett's grandma Wanda turned 85!!She was so cute! She's a real funny lady and actually quite fun to hang around...she's very witty and if you don't do what she says, then she'll "kick your guts in!"
I couldn't get enough of Ruby while we were there! She was loving attention from super grandma...actually, maybe she was just trying to be sly about eating grandmas candy!! What a hoot!

HAPPY 85th GRANNY!

Brett's Loot...

Brett made off with some good stuff this birthday! I'm sure you're all dying to see it...His parents gave him set of speakers for his computer...he will love to blast his music (when the people upstairs' dogs are barking). They also gave him some clothes, flip flops, and a bunch of random gift cards to places brett likes.
I got him some clothes which he always likes to get, but will never just go out and buy for himself (funny, i never seem to have that problem)!
Brett was happy as could be to see that i made a big/electronic purchase on my own! He's been wanting an external hard drive for his mac mini for quite a while now. It was hard to actually know what to get. He had given me enough hints though that i was able to make a purchase that he was very happy with! I think i actually surprised him with it...which i loved, because he always figures out his gifts or snoops enough to know what he's getting! Brett was at school for most of the day. When he got home he opened presents and we went to Boccia's Italian Restaurant for dinner. I made him a cheesecake for dessert and we just hung out the rest of the night...HAPPY 25th BABE! You're so old! ha ha ha

CELEBRATE!!

We celebrated birthdays over the weekend also...Macguire (Mac) "took the cake" for being the cutest birthday boy ever!! He turned 1 on saturday! His creative dad whipped up this truck birthday cake! The bed of the truck was full of candy corns...so cute! Mac was loving it! This next picture makes me laugh...he's in heaven!! I really think he would have eaten the whole thing if he was allowed to!Brett turned the BIG 25 on Monday! Going along with tradition (from last year) he got his own "special" cake! Link to my post last April to see what he got when he asked for his own "special" cake!! I thought he'd love a huge picture of himself on the cake...Ryan tried to add a booger to it, but you can see it was more liquid than gel, so that's why there's a big blob in his nostril! He's kinda nerdy...he even wore his 25 shirt!Jim's birthday is on the 19th...we didn't want to make him feel bad that he's not 25 anymore, so he got the ??? candle!!!

Happy Hunting!!

On Saturday we were in Morgan for the annual Easter Egg/Breakfast hunt with Brett's family. Tradition in the Anderton family was for the parents to hide breakfast on Easter morning. They have continued this with the grandkids and it gets a little out of hand as you can see in the picture! If you look close, it looks like someone has thrown trash all over the yard, but ACTUALLY, it's full of hidden buckets for each grandkid, lots of candy, easter eggs, small cereal boxes, orange juice and a variety of juice boxes, granola bars, fruit snacks, peeps (of course), toys, rice crispy snacks....and the list goes on! Brett and i were in charge of "hiding" everything! Well, the yard is quite big, but as you can see we ran out of hiding spots...that is when Brett started ripping bags of starbursts open and throwing them up in the air so they landed everywhere!Just a few pictures of the kids on the hunt! This is Ruby, she's the smallest and smartest 2 year old you'll ever meet!
Dexter showing off his findings!
This is Kenyalyn, she's almost 3! She is quite the diva...if you can't tell by her PINK sportscar basket! We had lots of fun watching the kids...i think there were 12 little ones all together!

Then for the adults we played a tournament of Palopola...its a fabulous game for any gathering (outside). I didn't get any pictures, but it's a more fun version of horseshoes...that's the only thing i can compare it to. Anyway, you toss a rope that has a golf ball strung on each end of it. The object you toss it onto is about 3 feet tall made of PVC pipe with 3 rungs (each rung has a point value). You toss the rope and try to wrap it around the rungs....anywho, to make a long explanation short, Brett and i won the tournament out of 7 couples! So, we had first pick of prizes. We picked the gift cards for 9 holes of golf! I'm super excited to use them, although i suck at golf...it's always fun to go!

Dodge--the pup

This is the newest addition to our family! Bridger got a new blue-tick hound dog. He named the pup "Dodge." The other one on the couch next to mom (you can only see her rear) is his friend's pup--"Maddie." Bridger is really into hunting and he takes his hounds on mountain lion hunts. A couple of months ago his dog "Trouble" got swatted off a cliff by one of the big cats they were chasing, sadly Trouble didn't make it and it was pretty traumatic for Bridger. So, this is a new hunter (in training) to fill the shoes. They are so cute...like all pups...then they get big! He's not big enough to live outside yet because he can get through the fence of the dog runs, so we played with him all weekend inside and outside! We apparently tuckered him right out! This was so cute...tongue out and all! He slept in this postition for quite a while...for some reason he likes to lay right between the couch cushions! He is really feisty and of course bites like crazy as most pups do! Every time it bit me i would say "OWWWW" and he would start to use his baby hound howl to mimick me---so cute!!

Weenie Roast

Last week we had Megan (Brett's sister), Trevor and their boys come over for dinner...although we just did hot dogs, the boys were loving it!We set out the cooler seat for more of the camping effect! Dexter and Everett were loving it!!
We figured it would be fun to do since we might not have the luxury of a fire place when we move to Ohio! Aren't these boys darling!
We kinda laughed...it's sort of white trash, but we had fun with it! Brett has actually cooked a peach cobbler dutch oven in our fireplace before!
The boy scout behind this HUGE bonfire! ha ha ha
