Terribly Sorry.....

Our computer has been having issues for the last couple of weeks and Brett ended up having to take it in and have the hard drive rebuilt...luckily he had backed up pictures and music and i don't think we lost anything else either. I have really felt out of it without a computer and internet! Sad, i'm so dependant on it! So, hopefully everyone in my blogging world is doing great...i will be checking up on ya'll after i make this post! I have some very exciting news... NO, i'm not pregnant! It is a funny story that has to do with Valentines Day (and a couple weeks previous to it!)

So...most of you know i'm basically obsessed with Rascal Flatts. I've been to all of their concerts--ever since before they were well known. So, i've had some really great seats in the past and last year our tickets were clear in the heck up there...where the air gets a little thin! I was upset and determined that i would have great seats at the next concert....SO--i joined the Rascal Flatts fan club! I know, many of you are asking, "How old are you?" It's silly i know, but i just love them. Well to make a long story a little shorter, there was a specific time and date that i had to get online to request these VIP tickets for the March 9th show in SLC. I happened to be at work and snuck onto a computer 5 minutes after the chance had opened...well apparently i was 5 minutes too late--it was already closed and I (the greatest fan) was without tickets! I can't tell you how sad/mad i was!!

Anywho, i've been determined that i was going to just win tickets since i didnt' want to pay a ton of $$$ to sit in the upper bowl again. I've called and called and gotten through the radio station once...but was not the 13th caller; do you know how frustrating that is? SO--fast forward a couple weeks to Valentines Day...

So Brett and i had decided to celebrate valentine's on Saturday the 17th since he had homework and school things to take care of this week (and he is in charge of Valentine's this year). On Wednesday i was surprised with a flower delivery at work that made all the other wives jealous their husband hadn't sent them anything! They were beautiful red roses! It was a nice surprise! My afternoon patients ended up all cancelling so i came up with the super idea that i would go home early and decorate the house with balloons and treats and get Olive Garden take-out for dinner and surprise brett for when he came home from school. Well...It was about 3:00 when i pulled in and Brett's car was home. WHAT THE HECK?! Here he comes, walking out of the house, looking very confused that i was home, when really he wasn't supposed to be home either. I guess his last tutoring appointment had cancelled and he had the same thing in mind, only he was on his way to the grocery store to buy what he needed to surprise me with a candle-lit dinner (He had been planning our date for Wednesday all along)! So, we had a few words on the front lawn that went a little like this, "you are ruining my surprise." "You just ruined my surprise!" We were both laughing so hard, it was quite funny!

So, he let me in the house and said i might as well open my card even if he hadn't signed it yet! AND THEN...it was a Valentine miracle (as melissa jokingly said)! Inside the card was a receipt for 2 RASCAL FLATTS TICKETS, lower bowl...all i could ever want!! ha ha ha All i could say was SHUT UP, as i ran in place and squealed for about 5 minutes!!! So, i don't know how he pulled that one off, but all i do know is that Brett is super thoughtful and i hope he isn't too embarrassed to go with me because i really get a little out of hand at concerts!! YAY!!!

So, anyway...we ended up spending the afternoon together and i told Brett we were just going to have take-out since he had already out-done himself! I picked up Olive-Garden and came home to a candle-lit home, with one of our favorite songs playing in the background "I Do," by John Schmidt. After a nice slow dance we enjoyed dinner and he gave me a fabulous foot rub too! I definitely got spoiled this year! Love you Brett!
