Lake Powell

I am a little behind the times when it comes to updating! Finally i got some pics downloaded from our Powell trip...it was only a month ago, give me a break!! This is the Anderton annual houseboat trip. Brett's parents, all 7 kids plus spouses, plus grandkids. It ws definitely a full house! Well, I'm sad to report that it wasn't the best Lake Powell trip i've been on. A couple days into the trip i got sick. We went out wakeboarding early one morning and by lunch time i was having the worst stomach cramps ever...not the monthly ones! I think maybe i ate a turd when i wrecked on the board or something (this could really be possible at Powell)!! As big of a germ freak as i am, i'm not sure why Powell doesn't sick me out!

All day i just wanted to die. Finally that night i threw up. i know you were all dying to hear that! I'll spare you all and won't go into too much detail. All i know is i can't remember the last time i puked. That's how bad i hate it. I was trying my hardest not to let it come up, but i lost! Brett couldn't have been sweeter. He sat there with me while i had it coming out of both ends at the same time! He was funny... kept telling me good job after i puked. I was holding it back, yet Brett kept encouraging it! He was so caring though. He had to have been sick of me after all night of going through that. He even slept next to me with a bowl just in case i needed it! I just love him. He did a very good job of taking care of me. It's the first time since we've been married that he had to witness all that nastiness! ha ha ha For 2 days i was laid up, then when i started feeling back to normal we had some boat problems. The ski boat was struggling, then a some part to the houseboat wasn't working quite right, so we ended up pulling back into the slip and leaving a day early. BUMMER. I didn't even get a tan!!!

Well, we still managed to have a decent time and made lots of memories! So, here's some of the fun parts...The scenery is always amazing! There was a full moon out the first couple nights, so seeing stars was a little difficult. Sleeping was hard too...it was so bright, yet beautiful!Oh, Brett always does something weird with his hair or goatie for Powell! This year he decided to go all blonde! He's trying to pull off the Hulk Hogan mustache here! The nephews were all loving the lizards everywhere! Brett was having fun with them! Did you know if you put a lizard next to your ear it will latch on?!Me wakeboarding...this could have been just before i ate that turd i mentioned earlier! ha ha haAnd of course i had to get a few sunset shots! (this one is for you Melissa)! I absolutely love it there! Hopefully next year will be memorable for some different reasons other than being sick! Ans maybe i can get a tan too!

Hey Jami! Sounds like you guys are living it up this summer:) I am so sorry about the JOB! Over rated! You don't need to work, just have a baby. No, I really hope you get a dream office! Well little Ryker was born on Friday June 16th at 6:47 a.m. and weighed 6.8 oz and ia 20.5 inches long and is the cutest thing I have ever layed my eyes on! Being a mom is the greates gift god could ever give us! It is the most amazing experience and you can't explain it, you just have to experience it first hand and one day you will know what I am talking about. So I gave birth the day I was scheduled to take the JP Exam! Yeah I still don't have a licence:) Not to mention I have to write them a letter and send the police report for my little parking incident! Oh well, I am excited you are still bloggin! We need to all get together! You are a STAR!
